Kitra is stunning with plenty of body and chrome. She hunted second field at the beginning of hunt season and has made a smooth transition up to first flight. She is super brave and scopey, will jump anything you point her at from any distance or gait. Just grab mane and point her at the fence; she is a safe and careful jumper. She can go in the field or she can lead, and has led the field at Middleburg Hunt. Her manners are excellent. She stands stock still at checks, does not kick if crowded from behind, is not worried by the hounds, and does not crowd the horse in front of her. She maintains a distance between her and the horse in front of her without fussing. In fact, if the horse ahead of her trots, she frequently waits for her rider's okay to go ahead. She is not worried about being left behind or by other horses coming and going, even if they are coming or going at a gallop. She is professionally trained, walks through streams, and is a pro at gates. Get a gate while the others gallop away, no problem! Jump going away from the field, no problem! Her rider has held the huntsman's horse and had the hounds swarm around her legs when the huntsman came to get on, no problem! This horse was born to hunt and loves it. Watches the hounds work at checks, is always interested. She is keen and pulls in gallop because she loves it, but always listens and remains rideable. She has hunted with Orange County, Loudoun-Fairfax, Middleburg Hunt, Warrenton Hunt, Blue Ridge and Snickersville.
She can also show in the jumper ring. She has schooled up to 1.20m and competed at HITS Culpeper and Loudoun in the .8 and .9s. She has hunter paced and is super fun! She can be ponied off of, is extra easy and sweet in the stable, a good traveler, easy loader, and can stand on the truck alone. She has great bone and big solid feet that keep her shoes on in all terrain. She turns out well with others and is not marish. She is an athlete, kind, fun, and easy to manage.
